You can expect natural deerskin products to have small scars or marks that do not detract from the article's appearance or durability. Deerskin Gloves, Moccasins, Purses and other non-garment items require little special care for long life. Did you know that deerskin is hand-washable with mild hand soap and water? Saddle and Acorn color items, however, may darken slightly. Simply rinse completely, gently squeeze dry (do not wring). Gently stretch to shape and dry flat away from a heat source. Saddle soap must be avoided. We recommend that all deerskin Shirts, Vests and Jackets (and all cowhide items) be professionally dry cleaned to be safe. Please be sure to identify to your dry cleaner if the garment is made of deerskin. Experienced dry cleaners will use a special process to clean deerskin garments to avoid shrinkage.
